Johanna Schiele

Johanna Schiele is an MPP candidate at the Harvard Kennedy school, focusing on energy and climate regulation. She hold's a BA in Economic and Philosophy from the university of Oxford and previously worked in energy market modelling in Germany, the UK and Poland. Johanna is currently on a leave of absence, working for the European Commission in DG Clima.

Kezi Cheng

Kezi is a PhD candidate at the School of Engineering, her research focuses on materials optimization and discovery. Her interest lies at the intersection of materials and sustainability innovation. She is a NSF graduate research fellow, a Harvard Graduate Energy and Environment Consortium fellow, and is concurrently pursuing a secondary in data science. Kezi holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering with a minor in Management from MIT.

Nupur Gurjar

Nupur sees design as a multi-dimensional entity. She worked on multiple projects as an architect, notably for production design for Puma and Amazon Prime. She forayed into design research ethnography at Design Innovation and Craft Resource Centre, CEPT University on vernacular furniture of North-West India. Currently a candidate for the Master in Design Engineering at Harvard, she is keen to enhance her abilities as a creative thinker, problem-solver, explorer, and imaginative dreamer. Being a trained classical dancer and a vocalist has helped her maintain a creative balance.

Aakrity Madhan

Aakrity sees design as an opportunity for equity. She is currently investigating the blueprint of equitable, healthy and environmentally responsive humanitarian habitat interventions at Harvard Graduate School of Design as an MDes Energy and Environment student. Her past research and architectural work has been focused in using industrial waste in construction technologies and materials.

Bianca Yamaguchi

Born in Romania, grew up in Canada, living in Japan for the last 10 years, Bianca is an independent business consultant, specialized in sustainability, circular economy and zero waste. She is also not a stranger to ethical consumerism, permaculture, plant-based nutrition, inclusion, mental health and social impact. With a 10 year experience in both corporate consulting and personal training, she spends all her waking hours on trying to make the world a better place.

Brian Cain

Brian is an MPP student at the Harvard Kennedy School, striving to work in the public sector on issues such as public transportation. He is passionate about environmental protection, social equality, racial justice, and women’s and LGBTQ+ rights. As a CPA and former auditor at Ernst & Young, he is pursuing a graduate degree to acquire skills necessary for a career in the public sector, while leveraging the budgetary and systems thinking he learned as an accountant. Brian graduated from Providence College in May 2018.

Charuvi is a Master in Urban Planning candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, focusing on transport policy and planning. She is working as a consultant with the State Smart Transportation Initiative and the Department of Transportation, City of Madison and is particularly interested in sustainable mobility and the intersection of land use and transportation.

Felicia Liang

Felicia is passionate about combining human-centered design, human-computer interaction, and behavioural insights to design solutions that address urbanization challenges. During her time as an Experience Design Consultant at Deloitte Canada, she worked on digital innovation strategy and UX/UI projects in various industries including public sector, healthcare, retail, automotive, and insurance. Through MDE, she hopes to complement her breadth of experience with technical product design skills, as well as learn how to use a systems-thinking approach to design solutions for urban sustainability, mobility, digital government services.

Kritika is a MDes candidate, specializing in Energy and Environment at the Graduate School of Design in Harvard University. As a recipient of the Saint Gobain Scholarship, she has an ongoing research project in Gujarat, India. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from NIT Bhopal, India.

Lillian is pursuing her MBA and Sustainability Certificate at MIT Sloan. Prior to Sloan, Lillian volunteered at food and community-focused organizations and spent 10 years working at HR tech startup Betterworks and HR / M&A consulting practices at KPMG and Willis Towers Watson. She now hopes to leverage her consulting and technology skillsets to help food companies drive social impact through sustainability.

Sérgio Jacinto is a seasoned manager in healthcare who over the last 17 years has been leading healthcare organizations on a local and international level. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics along with a Masters in Healthcare Service Management from ISCTE Executive Education.
Currently, Sérgio is transitioning into Sustainability Management | Circular Economy taking up the Executive Master in Sustainability Transition Management at Bologna Business School as well as giving lectures and workshops in the interested industries and organizing high-profile conferences. In this, he follows his passion and commitment to bridging between traditional economy and environmental sustainability.

Will is a first-year MPP student at the Harvard Kennedy School who is passionate about developing evidence-based policies to address income inequality, labor, and climate change. Prior to HKS, Will served as a Health Analyst at Mathematica where he focused on evaluating healthcare payment reform models and developing clinical quality measures. Will is especially interested in the ways in which we can develop an equitable workforce to power the circular economy. Will graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S in Microbiology in 2015.

Tiffany is an undergraduate student at University of Virginia, pursuing a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. Passionate about developing smart city planning tools that addresses economic efficiency, information spillover, and sustainable communities, she has her research themed in smart cities. In the past, she worked as a full-time intern at China Academy of Urban Planning and Design to help with designing the 2020-2035 Territory Development Plan for the City of Nanchang.

Yuki Numata

Yuki is a second-year MPP at the Harvard Kennedy School working toward a concentration in Business & Government Policy. Her work focuses on policies that drive market solutions for environmental sustainability and climate change. Most recently, she worked with the World Wildlife Fund to accelerate the growth of global renewable energy markets, and is now working on her capstone with the Science-Based Targets initiative to support corporate partners in reducing their land-based emissions. She has prior experience in policy research and management consulting, and holds a degree in international relations from Pomona College.
