Labor and Education in the Circular Economy
Date: Thursday, February 25, 2021 (9-11 AM ET)
Labor and education are crucial components in supporting a global transition to a circular economy. Join us for our upcoming session, where we will host a panel of experts for a wide-ranging discussion on the importance of education and labor in a circular economy.
The event will begin with a conversation on how education can support a transition to the circular economy through both formal workforce training and educating the public on the need for a circular economy. This discussion will feature experts working directly on skill development and knowledge proliferation across the world.
The second portion will focus on the labor market impacts of a circular economy and how countries can make this transition in an equitable way that supports workers. The panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges workers face in transitioning to work in the circular economy and will emphasize the importance of an equitable and just transition.
We will conclude with a combined discussion including all panelists and will provide an opportunity for audience Q&A. The event will also feature interactive questions to help gauge the audience’s understanding of key circular economy topics.
