Keynote Speaker:
Marta H. Wisniewska, Architect, Author, Lecturer at Cornell University, USA
Marta H. Wisniewska is an architect and urban planner deriving her designs from an extended understanding of the genius loci with a special focus on local material availability and industrial processing skills. Currently a lecturer at Cornell University’s Department of Architecture, Wisniewska’s teaching draws from both cutting-edge developments and traditional craftsmanship, and combines this knowledge with experimental practices. As a designer she is committed to utilizing regenerative materials and processes that maximize worker and end-user health while minimizing harmful impacts on the planet.
Influenced by her experience researching and teaching in contrasting contexts such as Ethiopia, Singapore, Switzerland, Germany and the United States, she aims to activate alternative, innovative and healthy resources for unique and context-specific applications, aspiring to widen the architectural palette.
Wisniewska's work has been published in several book publications such as Building from Waste (Birkhäuser, 2014); Addis Ababa: a Manifesto on African Progress (Ruby Press, 2018); and City in Your Hands (ETH Zurich, 2019). She holds a Master of Science in architecture and urban planning from ZUT Szczecin, Poland.

Roy CheUng, Global Head, Sustainability Solutions, Engineering Plastics Business, Covestro, China
Roy leads the global Sustainability Solutions of the Engineering Plastics Business Entity of Covestro, a polymer company, with a focus on the commercialization of sustainability solutions. He helped the company to launch the world’s first climate neutral polycarbonate material, among many other sustainability products and solutions. He's also one of the co-authors of a circular design guidebook for the electronics industry, helping the industry to design products and business models in a more circular way. Roy actively builds alliances and partnerships in the value chain to enable closed-loop recycling and better material traceability in driving the transition towards a circular economy and reduce plastic waste in the environment.
Roy was born and raised in Hong Kong, spent a few years living and working in Taipei, and later finished his MBA degree in Shanghai, where he is currently based.
CÉdric Ringenbach, Founder and Chairman, Association La Fresque du Climat, France
Cédric Ringenbach is an engineer, graduated from Ecole Centrale de Nantes.
He has been studying the publications of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) since the 4th assessment report.
From 2010 to 2016, he was the CEO of The Shift Project, a think-tank working on the carbon transition.
From 2010 to 2019, he taught energy-climate issues in higher education (Sup'aéro, Ecoles Centrales, Sciences Po, HEC), and continues to do so today in conferences.
In 2015, Cédric created the Climate Fresk, a pedagogical workshop based on the IPCC reports and has worked to disseminate it since 2018. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Association La Fresque du Climat.
He is also the CEO of Blue Choice, a consulting company in strategy on climate and transition issues.
Mellie Pullman, Chair, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, University of Groningen, NL
Professor Mellie Pullman is a professor at the University of Groningen and Portland State University. Mellie has taught a wide variety of operations and supply chain management courses at universities such as Cornell University, London Business School, Colorado State University, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Utah. Her major research interests include seafood supply chain management, sustainability and supply chain management, food and beverage supply chains, and social impact supply chain management. Furthermore, Mellie serves as associate editor or on the review board for multiple supply chain and sustainability journals. Currently, she is researching supply chains and UN sustainable development biodiversity goals, social enterprise supply chains in food and beverage businesses, sustainability competitive dynamics, and supply chain management in the emergent US cannabis market.
Mellie was the first women brewer in the US craft brewery movement and started Wasatch Brewery in Park City Utah. She has created online education for the craft brewing industry in the US (Business of Craft Brewing) and Business Skills for Welsh Craft Brewers. She has served on numerous non-profit boards related to food policy, public health, the environment, wildlife and promotion of writing skills. She works with many regional sustainability-focused food and beverage producers, distributors, and retailers. She is the author of multiple articles, books and cases including Craft Beverage Business Management, Food Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Restaurant Design, and Service Operations.
Dave Coleman, Managing Director, The Carbon Literacy Project, Cooler Projects CIC, UK
After a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Manchester in the UK, Dave began his career with the accounting firm Deloitte, spent 5 years as a director of an award-winning UK based IT company, then founded and spent ten years as a management trainer and coach in his own practice in the commercial sector. As a former trustee and non-executive director of Friends of the Earth in the UK, in 2011 he co-founded and now leads The Carbon Literacy Project, and speaks and advocates on climate change issues.
The Carbon Literacy Project is a unique and award-winning not-for-profit low carbon culture-change initiative, being rolled out within the public and private sector across the UK and globally, and is a not-for-profit charity, wholly owned by The Carbon Literacy Trust (UK Registered Charity No 1156722).
